New media plan
As a student of Public Relations, we needs to know what is
the new media plan and provide it how to launch it. Because new media plan are
important to helps organization launch an event.
There have eight elements of new media plans which is
objective, target audience, platform, activities, calendar, evaluation and how
is your old recommendation different from your new proposal.
Firstly, we needs to set out the objective of creating this
event because objective can helps us to fulfill what public’s needs and helps
us to launch the successful activities. Actually the objective has called as
SMART, which is Specific, Measureable, Attainable, Realistic and Time.
Besides, the second step in new media plans which is target
audience. There were two types of target audience is internal target audience
and external target audience. For the external target audience, there will be
internal of organization which is staffs, employee and shareholders of
organization. And the external target audience is media and public. We needs to
set out who are our target audience in this event.
Other than, the next elements of new media plans is
platform. Platform is the channels of publish information to public, so that
select the platform is the important thing in new media plan. Different
channels can target different audience, we needs to select the channels than
can attract more people to attend this event. And I choose the channel in new
media plan is launch the information in new media social page because social
page are populated use by many people. So that, new media social page can
attract many people pay attention to this event.
After select platform in new media plan, we have to come out
what activities that we launch in our proposal and clearly list out 5W1H in
each activities because this can make audience and staff of organization
clearly get know more about the activities. And also we have to come out gantt
chart as our calendar. Clearly state out the date and duration of activities
launch in this calendar.
In addition, for the evaluation. We can get the feedback of
audience from new media social page, after we collect all the feedback from
audience online, we can start evaluate our proposal. At last, for the
recommendation different from our new proposal, we will refer it from old
proposal and our new proposal. We can give the comment in both of two proposal,
what are the different from old proposal and new proposal. And also we have to
give ideas in this step to improve the next proposal more successful.
